  • Our venue has a small, limited number of rooms on-site, which will be offered first to our closest family and bridal party to ensure they’re close by for key moments throughout the celebration.

But don’t worry — there’s a wide range of beautiful accommodation options nearby, including hotels, bed & breakfasts, country resorts, and Airbnb Villas and Apartments.

We’ve put together a list of recommended stays in the area, including tips on proximity to the venue, transport options, and group-friendly spots.

If you’re planning to share a place with friends or family, we highly recommend booking early — places around Montefalco are popular in summer.

Let us know in your RSVP where you plan to stay, so we can keep you in the loop for transportation plans.

  • DescSummer in Umbria is generally warm, sunny, and perfect for celebrating outdoors fingers crossed.

Expect daytime temperatures between 28–32°C (82–90°F), with plenty of sunshine and very little rain. Mornings and evenings can be cooler, especially in the countryside, so we recommend bringing light layers and a lot of sunscreen.

  • If you're travelling from Australia (or most non-EU countries), you can enter Italy for up to 90 days without a visa. However, from mid-2025, you may need to apply for an ETIAS travel authorisation — we’ll update this information when more is confirmed.

  • Italy uses the Euro (€), which is also accepted in much of Europe — making it super convenient if you're extending your trip.

Countries that also use the Euro include France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Greece, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Luxembourg, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, and Cyprus. If you're visiting any of these places before or after the wedding, you won’t need to worry about exchanging currency again.

Some countries still use their own currencies, including the UK (Pound £), Switzerland (Swiss Franc CHF), Sweden (Swedish Krona SEK), Denmark (Danish Krone DKK), Hungary (Forint HUF), Poland (Złoty PLN), and the Czech Republic (Koruna CZK) — so check ahead if you're including any of these spots in your travels.

Card payments are widely accepted across Europe, but it’s smart to carry a small amount of cash in Euros, especially for local markets, taxis, or smaller towns like Montefalco. ATMs are easy to find and often have better rates than airport exchanges.

  • If flying within Europe (especially on budget airlines), be sure to check luggage limits carefully — they often charge for checked baggage. For train travel, larger suitcases are generally okay, but lighter is always easier.

If you're flying internationally to attend the wedding, keep in mind that most airlines follow the 100ml (3.4oz) liquids rule for carry-on bags. This means:

    • All liquids, gels, creams, pastes, and aerosols must be in containers of 100ml or less.

    • These containers must fit comfortably into a single, clear, resealable plastic bag (approx. 1 litre capacity).

    • You’ll need to remove this bag from your carry-on at security screening.

This applies to items like toiletries, makeup, sunscreen, hand sanitiser, and drinks. Larger bottles (like perfume, shampoo, or wine) should go in your checked luggage.

You can bring baby formula, breast milk, and essential medications in larger quantities, but they must be declared at security.

Airport security is strict on this, so packing with it in mind can save you delays (and confiscated products!).

  • If you're bringing medications with you from Australia to Europe, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure smooth travel:

You’re allowed to bring both prescription and over-the-counter medications, but they should be for personal use only, ideally a 3-month supply or less. Always keep medications in their original packaging, and carry a copy of your prescription or a letter from your doctor — especially for any controlled substances (like strong painkillers, ADHD medication, or anti-anxiety medications).

We recommend packing important medications in your carry-on luggage in case of delays or lost baggage, and bringing a little extra just in case. If your medication needs to be kept cold, bring a small insulated bag and check with your airline ahead of time.

Over-the-counter medications like Panadol or hayfever tablets are fine to bring, but again — original packaging is best for customs checks.

  • We’ve tried to cover as much as we can, but if you still have a question, scroll to the bottom of this page — there’s a contact form where you can reach out directly.
If your question might be helpful to others too, we’ll add it (and the answer!) to this page to keep everyone in the loop.

  • Please RSVP by February 1, 2026.

As this is a multi-day celebration, you’ll be asked to RSVP for each event: the welcome dinner, wedding day, and recovery brunch — so we can plan accordingly.

While we wish we could be flexible, the deadline is firmly February 1, 2026.
If we don’t receive your RSVP by then, we won’t be able to make exceptions — and will have to mark you as respectfully not attending.
We need to provide final guest numbers to our venue and vendors well in advance, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

  • Whilst we would love for you to join us, we understand that travel may not be possible for everyone.
Your love and support mean so much to us, and we look forward to celebrating with you upon our return.

Feel free to live vicariously through our wedding Instagram if you’d still like to be part of the celebrations from afar — we’ll be sharing moments along the way!

Please still RSVP to let us know, so we can plan accordingly.

  • Yes — children are invited!
We know some of you may be able to make arrangements and would love to take this opportunity for a child-free holiday, but we would be absolutely delighted to have those of you travelling with your little ones join us.

Please let us know in your RSVP if you’ll be bringing children, so we can keep you updated on any arrangements and ensure everyone is well looked after.

  • If your invitation includes a plus one, you’ll see a space for them when you RSVP.

If you received an individual invitation but are thinking of making the big trip — or including it as part of your wider travels — please let us know. We’d love to see if we can accommodate a plus one so you can share the experience with someone special.

  • No gifts necessary - Your presence is truly the greatest gift, especially with so many of you travelling so far.

  • Yes — our ideal plan is for both the ceremony and reception to take place outdoors, surrounded by the gardens, vineyards, and rolling hills of Fonte Sala.

We’re hoping for warm Italian summer weather, and the setting is just too stunning not to make the most of it! Of course, there will be a backup plan in case of rain.

Ladies, please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear — there will be grassy areas, gravel paths.

We’ll share more on the wedding day timeline as it gets closer to the day.

  • We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. We’ve chosen to have an unplugged ceremony so that everyone can be fully present in the moment with us — no screens, just love.

We’ve hired an incredible photographer to capture everything beautifully, and we promise to share the photos with you afterward.

After the ceremony, feel free to snap away during the rest of the celebrations!

  • Getting in early with all the detail as I’m sure it is the most asked wedding question of them all. Ladies, don’t stress, I’ve got all the details and inspo on what to wear so you can take away the guesswork. And guys… well, the dress code info for you is really for the ladies anyway, but that information too, will be available accessible via the details page or the link below.
